-3 cups of prepared oatmeal
-2 apples, cored and sliced, we LOVE gala or honey crisp!
-2 teaspoons of coconut oil
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
-pinch of sea salt
-1-2 teaspoons of maple syrup
-a handful of nuts or seeds of choice
Cook oatmeal per package directions. (I like to cover a bowl of whole oats with boiling water and cover with a plate to cook for 5-7 minutes). Meanwhile, warm coconut oil in a pan on medium heat then add your apple slices, cinnamon, sea salt and maple syrup. Stir until apples are softened and slightly caramelized. Divide oatmeal between two bowls and top with apples and a handful of nuts or seeds of choice.
